I’ve created this blog so that I can share my experiences of 35 years as a technology CEO and founder, board member, and venture capitalist. Just to be clear, I don’t consider myself “THE Expert CEO” – but I am an experienced one. The title was chosen to imply that you, the reader, could become more of an “Expert CEO” by reading about key issues CEOs must deal with and valuable lessons they’ve learned.
I’m now the Founder and CEO of ExpertCEO (www.expertceo.com), a private online community for CEOs and other senior executives. Previously, I was the founder and CEO of numerous information technology companies including Seriosity, Extricity, Pillar, Documentum and Ross Systems. I’ve also served as a board member and CEO Coach for a variety of companies including Adaptive Planning, Savvion and Electric Cloud. I was a General Partner at RRE Ventures, where I headed the firm’s Silicon Valley office. I received my B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and have an MBA from Stanford University.

Have read some of your posts. We met once up at RRE few years back. Let’s connect when you are in NY next or when I’m out there.
